CARBO DRIVE is a natural-tasting powdered carbohydrate food supplement for athletes, without flavorings and sweeteners, it provides energy quickly and constantly. The carbohydrates contained in CARBO DRIVE, metabolised by the body, contribute to the recovery of normal muscle function (contraction) after intense and/or prolonged physical exercise involving muscle fatigue and depletion of glycogen reserves in skeletal muscles. The beneficial effect is obtained through the consumption of carbohydrates from all sources equal to a total of 4 g per kg of body weight, with an intake in doses to start within the first 4 hours following intense and/or prolonged physical exercise which lead to muscle fatigue and depletion of glycogen reserves in skeletal muscles and to be concluded in any case within 6 hours following such exercise. Cluster Dextrin (Highly branched cyclic dextrins) are a new type of complex carbohydrate, obtained from amylopectin (the main starch component) of corn. These complex carbohydrates have a constant molecular weight distribution, with low osmolarity and fast gastric emptying. The highly branched cyclic dextrins (Cluster Dextrin™) are rapidly assimilated and for this reason they are also suitable before or during intense sporting activities. The formula includes vitamin B6, which contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism, the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, and normal glycogen and protein metabolism. It does not contain ingredients of animal origin and is also suitable for vegans.
